OneBet Betting Rules and Wagering Policy

These Betting Rules are an integral part of OneBet (Pty) Ltd’s Terms and Conditions. By opening an account or placing any wager with OneBet, you acknowledge and agree to comply with these rules. The following policies are designed to ensure fair play, regulatory compliance, and transparency across all betting activities.

1. General Provisions

These rules operate in conjunction with OneBet’s Terms & Conditions, which govern the contractual relationship between OneBet and all customers.

The minimum stake per bet is R1. Maximum bet amounts differ across sports, leagues, and betting markets and are displayed at the time of placing a wager.

OneBet reserves the right to refuse, restrict, or limit any bet or wager request, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion.

Bets must be placed online via OneBet’s digital platforms. Any bets received by alternative means (including email, phone, or fax) are invalid.

Once confirmed, a bet cannot be amended or cancelled by the customer.

Bets are accepted up until the official start time of the event. Bets placed after the event has started (unless designated as live/in-play) will be declared void.

All bets are settled in accordance with the official results as determined by the relevant governing body of the event.

2. Bet Acceptance and Settlement

OneBet may, at its discretion, decline or void any bet prior to the commencement of an event without obligation to provide a reason. In the event of an abandoned or cancelled match, all unsettled bets will be declared void and stakes refunded. Partial results already determined at the time of abandonment (such as first-half outcomes) will stand.

Bets are settled using American odds format for consistency. Once results are confirmed, winnings are automatically credited to the customer’s account. The official event result as published by the event organizer is final for settlement purposes, except where specific rules indicate otherwise.

3. Errors and Cancellations

While OneBet takes every measure to ensure accuracy, typographical or palpable errors in prices or markets may occur. If such an error affects a bet, the wager will be voided and stakes refunded. OneBet is not liable for errors caused by technical issues, delays, or third-party data feeds.

4. Event Integrity and Restrictions

If OneBet reasonably believes that a customer has placed a bet after the outcome of an event has been determined or where a material advantage has been obtained, the bet will be voided. Customers involved directly or indirectly in the event (e.g., players, referees, coaches) are prohibited from wagering on related outcomes.

In cases where evidence of match manipulation, collusion, or irregular betting patterns exists, OneBet reserves the right to withhold winnings, suspend accounts, and report activities to regulatory authorities. Evidence may include the size, volume, or timing of bets that indicate potential misconduct.

5. Abandoned or Interrupted Events

If an event is abandoned due to unforeseen circumstances such as injury, weather, or technical disruption, bets determined prior to the interruption will stand. For example, in football, first-half results will remain valid, while wagers on the full-time outcome will be voided. In tennis, if a player retires mid-match, all settled set bets remain valid, while match result wagers are voided.

6. Fraud, Collusion, and Multiple Accounts

OneBet prohibits fraudulent, coordinated, or syndicate betting activity. Any series of identical or similar bets placed by the same individual or a group acting together may be treated as a single bet. In such cases, OneBet may void all bets beyond the first accepted wager.

If there is evidence of collusion, coordinated betting, or shared account access, OneBet reserves the right to suspend or close all related accounts. OneBet is intended for personal, non-commercial entertainment use only, and customers may operate only one active account. Duplicate accounts may be closed, and winnings forfeited.

7. Live and In-Play Betting Disclaimer

While OneBet strives to provide accurate real-time information for in-play markets, such data may be subject to delays or errors. Customers are responsible for verifying live event information before placing bets. OneBet accepts no liability for discrepancies in live data feeds, event timing, or score updates.

8. Responsible Gambling

OneBet supports responsible gambling and provides tools to help customers manage their betting activities. Customers may set deposit limits, self-exclude, or seek assistance through accredited support organisations. Please refer to our Responsible Gambling Policy for more details.

10. Refund Policy

OneBet (Pty) Ltd operates under a transparent refund policy in compliance with South African regulations. Refunds will only be processed in cases where a deposit or bet was made in error, a transaction was duplicated, or an event was cancelled before commencement. Refunds will be made using the same payment method originally used, subject to verification and approval by OneBet’s Finance Department. Refunds will not be issued for bets placed and confirmed on valid events, except in the case of a clear technical or operational error. Customers requesting a refund must contact OneBet Support within seven (7) days of the disputed transaction, providing proof of payment and relevant details.

11. Cancellation Policy

Once a bet has been accepted and confirmed by OneBet’s system, it cannot be amended or cancelled by the customer. If an event is cancelled or voided due to unforeseen circumstances such as technical faults, incorrect data feeds, or match abandonment, affected bets will be voided, and stakes will be refunded in accordance with OneBet’s rules. OneBet reserves the right to cancel any transaction or account suspected of fraudulent activity, in which case funds may be withheld pending investigation.
